About.

My photo
Visual Journalism Student/ Photographer/Fashion Blogger. I love finding beauty where others don't, and I believe art can be found almost everywhere. Old and new, we can learn from all, and getting to a place where you can realize that is probably the most freeing a person can feel ever. But basically I love Fashion, and the designers are the artists with visions and their canvas' are us and the world, and I love helping spreading that message. "Ultimately isn't that fashion is about? We're all a bunch of big kids playing dress up." Feel free to e-mail me @ andrewwwhester@gmail.com to talk about anything!

Only one in Alabama who was awake and watching, I'm sure! :-)

LOUIS VUITTON
SPRING 2010
Marc set up the so the show could be streamed from the Louis Vuitton Facebook page.
I love how open the Fashion World is becoming by reaching out to those who can't be at the shows to show them LIVE.
So everyone knows I love Louis Vuitton,
and seeing what I would like to call a
modern twist on Daniel Boone (the raccoon tails and "mop-socks") & Disco Fever (the afros). Give me a pair of those rain boots with fur and I'll be happy.
It was well worth getting up earlier than usual to see the show and feel like I was sitting there next to Leighton Meester. :-)

I Want Your Leather Studded Kiss in the Sand.

As most of you who frequent STYLE.com know, they present the "details" of a show after it's shown. I would like to show some of my favorite "details" (pictures courtesy of Style.com) from the ALEXANDER McQUEEN SPRING 2010 show from yesterday.

During the show, I decided to tweet,
and the pictures of the shoes above shows all I could say at the time.
Alexander McQueen is a genius. A true revolutionary artist.

Love the neutrals and florals.
This is a Collection that is appropriate for ages 1-100, if you an fit!
& The set looks like the Home from the Swiss Family Robinson
but still looks like it cost a FORTUNE!

These are the looks that caught my eye when I awoke to see the refreshing looks of Karl scattered all over the Fashion Blogs!

You and Me Could Write a Bad Romance

Lady Gaga has been all over the place these past few weeks.
Performing on SNL, Filming for GossipGirl, (GG Insider) and Releasing her new single, "Bad Romance" at the Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 show in Paris which was streamed online to the public this afternoon!
I think Gaga is making the world Gaga, and in the words of GAGA... "I love it".

@LouisVuitton : "Hey OMFG! What's Up Marc?!"

For everyone living under a hole today in the Fashion World... LOUIS VUITTON announced that they will be streaming the Spring 2010 show online on their Facebook page on Wednesday October 7, at "2:30 p.m. Paris Time, 8:30 a.m. NY Time,". That means 7:30(!) a.m. for me in Alabama, and I have a 8:00 a.m. class so I think that I am going to have to be a little late to class that day! (Original Story)

So GO ADD the Louis Vuitton page on Facebook if you would like to get up at 7:30 a.m. and watch it with me!
Here's a direct link >>> Louis Vuitton/Facebook

CORRECTION (10/7/2009): Sorry to all those who went to the link above, since the brand, Louis Vuitton itself was not very specific other than "their Facebook page", amongst the few out there, that was the one I assumed it would be on, but I was wrong. It was featured on THIS PAGE, and if you didn't catch it this morning, the page said that it will be available streaming, (not live) but recorded for the next 24 hours.

Like a Crayola Box with Spikes.

BALENCIAGA. SPRING 2010.

The Collection reminds me of lines mixed with paint splatter used in Abstract art to add the emphasis that is Abstract.

Plastic Jungle.

Garett Pugh. SPRING 2010.

& Rihanna was there, rumored to be on the lookout for a new outfit for her cover shoot for the her new album.
Even though I would like to see her in one of the above, I hope she chooses a Balmain jacket, no pants, and the new Balenciaga shoes!
(Balenciaga Coverage coming Next Blog!)
