Marfa Fashion Week

Berlin based artists Michael Elmgreen and Ignar Dragset

are responsible for this piece of art (above, bottom) in MARFA, Texas,

and more importantly for this piece of art

that has ended up all over the web and even on Gossip Girl!

I first noticed the pictures of the store on my friend Mary's blog.

I didn't recognize the print from Gossip Girl (above) had anything to do

with Elmgreen and Dragset's work until I saw it again in Interview Magazine.

I then saw that canvas prints on sale for $300 with proceeds going

to the Art Production Fund, and then I began my investigation.

The backdrop scenery is great.

The nice serene lilac wall with the almost matching

wrapped trench is genius.

has been creating "Gaga" inspired outfits for the Original Barbie™

for some time now when you look at his Flickr page at

the dates of his pictures,

but he is just now creating a buzz within the "fashion" press.

His work is insane and perfected to a tee...

down to the Alexander McQueen shoes used in the "Bad Romance"

video to the Jean-Charles-de-Castelbajac "Kermit" jacket.

What's Black and White, has Studs, and Half-Naked? (A Givenchy Ad)

The new Spring Givenchy Ads have been released and

it reminded me that if there is one thing

that I could ask have for this Spring,

...it would be a pair of the Givenchy Studded Gladiator sandals!

yet they will be an accessory to have forever!

Well...I did not get the mink LANVIN scarf for Christmas,

but I did get a hold of a piece (of what I believe will be of historic remembrance later on),

especially from my generation!

NOTJUSTALABEL.com did a Celebrity Christmas sale this Holiday

with pieces from designers that celebrities have made famous...

& pieces from Lady Gaga were on display...so I had to look!

I decided that I had to have the aluminum eyepatch

from designer AND_i

that was made for the "Paparazzi" music video

that Alexander Skarsgard from True Blood wears!

Now all I need is someone to get the

Jeremy Scott look that Gaga wears from Opening Ceremony

and we could re-create the scene from the video!

Alabama in the House.

Alabama native, and designer of Alabama Chanin, Natalie Chanin,

designed the tree skirt for the Obama family/White House tree

this holiday season.

I just thought this was such an exciting thing to see, but I was not surprised because Chanin's pieces are so close to art that it is something that would be perfect for the White House tree.
